A delegation led by Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev has visited the University of Warwick in the UK.
“Elchi” reports that the press service of the Ministry of Science and Education provided information regarding this.
During the meeting with the university leadership, an exchange of views took place on interdisciplinary education models, global research collaborations, and international partnership opportunities, and the prospects for expanding cooperation in the fields of higher education and transnational education were discussed.
The delegation met with representatives of the university’s faculties of Science, Engineering, and Medicine, as well as the Global Sustainable Development Institute. During the meetings, education and research directions addressing global challenges such as the green energy transition were presented.
The delegation also familiarized themselves with the university’s International Manufacturing Centre and research laboratories.
Within the framework of the visit, information was also provided about the dual degree master’s program in “Renewable Energy” jointly implemented by the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University and the University of Warwick. It was noted that the program reflects common goals in developing skills in strategic areas and strengthening institutional capacity.
As part of the visit, a meeting was also held with students studying at the University of Warwick under the State Program, where views were exchanged on their academic activities and future plans, and their questions were answered.
