A minifootball championship has been held among the structures of the MES

From May 18 to 22, a minifootball championship was held among the structures of the Ministry of Emergency Situations at the open-air stadium of the Ministry’s Sports and Health Club.

According to the information provided to “Elchi”- by the Ministry, about 130 employees from a total of 12 teams of the MES Headquarters and its structures participated in the championship. The chief referee of the championship was Rasim Alizade.

On May 22, the competitions concluded and an award ceremony was held.

Speaking at the event, which began with the playing of the National Anthem, Colonel Fuzuli Musayev, head of the MES Sports and Health Club, spoke about the attention and care shown to the development of sports at the state level in our country, and discussed the determined struggle and achievements of the Ministry’s athletes in various competitions. Afterward, he congratulated the teams that placed in the championship and wished them success in future competitions.

It should be noted that in the match for 3rd place in the five-day championship, the Civil Defense Troops team defeated the Baku Regional Center (BRC) team and won the bronze medal of the championship. In the final, the State Fire Protection Service (SFPS) team faced the Special Risky Rescue Service (SRRS) team. Winning with a score of 4:1, the SRRS team won the championship title.

The best goalkeeper of the championship was Farid Agayev (SRRS), the top scorer was Elvin Shukurov (SRRS), and the most determined team was the Baku Regional Center team.

In the end, the winners were awarded cups, diplomas, and medals. Rasim Alizade, Fagan Shahbazov, Azad Lalayev, and Nihat Amirli were awarded honorary diplomas for their refereeing services during the championship, and employees of the MES Medical Service were awarded for the medical services they provided.
