The Main State Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has issued a warning regarding road conditions for the weekend.
The information received by elchi from the department states:
“Observations show that, as a rule, traffic intensity between the capital and the regions increases on weekends. As a result of the increase in the number of trips in both directions, traffic congestion occurs, especially on highways, which inevitably affects the risk of accidents.
The Main State Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs states that in order to ensure traffic safety, control and preventive measures have been further strengthened throughout the country.
At the same time, it should be noted that in some cases, serious road accidents are inevitable due to drivers failing to follow rules, technical malfunctions, haste, and carelessness. To prevent such cases, the Main State Traffic Police Department once again appeals to drivers:
Before setting off, check the technical condition of your vehicle, do not take a faulty vehicle on the road, and strictly observe speed limits and overtaking-maneuvering rules. Take into account the rainy weather conditions characteristic of the season and the real situation on the road. Make long-distance trips with breaks, and do not get behind the wheel while tired or sleepy.
