On the Baku–Tbilisi–Baku train of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY), children under 5 years old can travel for free provided they do not occupy a separate seat, while children aged 5–10 can travel with a discount of up to 50% depending on the travel class, purchase date, and season.
This was reported to elchi with reference to ADY. According to the main rules, a free ticket intended for one child under 5 years old must be officially issued.
“Traveling with a child is carried out based on a valid passport. If the child is traveling with only one parent, or is departing with an adult who is not a parent, it is mandatory to present a notarized power of attorney from both parents separately,” the statement says.
Tickets for the Baku–Tbilisi–Baku train can be purchased from the ADY website, the “ADY Mobile” application, or at railway ticket offices.
