Azerbaijani director Saida Haqverdiyeva has been awarded the “Silver Career” international prize held in Turkey.
“Elchi” reports that the award ceremony held in Ankara was attended by Turkish state and government officials, members of parliament, media representatives, public and political figures, artists, and members of the diplomatic corps.
It was noted that theater and film director Saida Haqverdiyeva represented Azerbaijan at the event, which took place for the fourth time. She was awarded the “Silver Career” prize for the promotion of national and moral values through art in the field of cinema and theater, as well as for the international presentation of the film “Old Suitcases,” which reflects the pains of the Karabakh war and human destinies.
In her speech, Saida Haqverdiyeva assessed the award not only as a success of her personal creativity but as a success of Azerbaijani culture and female artists as a whole.
