The next meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Family, Women and Children Affairs has been held.

At the meeting, the 2025 report of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs was presented for discussion.
Hijran Huseynova, Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on Family, Women and Children Affairs, opened the meeting and stated that there is a positive dynamic in ensuring gender equality in the country. She noted that the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) is currently being held in our country, and that the participation of women, their contributions to the process, and the obligations facing states are being widely discussed at the event.
H. Huseynova stated that important reforms are being carried out in our country to ensure gender equality, the legal framework is being improved, and a number of additions and amendments have been made to the legislation, including the protection of labor rights, equal pay for equal work for men and women, as well as paternity leave.
Sadaqat Gahramanova, Deputy Chair of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, said that when preparing the annual report on the implementation of the Law “On Guarantees of Gender Equality (Men and Women)”, information provided by relevant state institutions, central and local executive authorities regarding their work in this field was utilized.
At the conclusion of the discussions, the 2025 report of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs was recommended for the plenary session of the Milli Majlis.
