Member of the Milli Majlis, PhD in Theology Ceyhun Mammadov supports the “End to early slaughter” campaign.
“Elchi” reports that, according to the deputy, based on our religious traditions, the slaughter of lambs under 6 months old as a sacrifice is not considered correct. He emphasized that everyone should approach this issue with sensitivity and responsibility, both in terms of religious values and food security.
Ceyhun Mammadov noted that the slaughter of lambs younger than 6 months causes a rapid decline in the number of animals. Addressing the citizens, he stated that special attention should be paid to preventing early slaughter not only on the eve of Eid al-Adha but also in subsequent periods. In his opinion, this approach serves both the preservation of national-moral values and the sustainable development of animal husbandry for future generations.
