Axios: Washington does not consider Iran’s new proposal acceptable for an agreement

The US has not considered Iran’s new proposal to halt military operations acceptable for reaching an agreement.

elchi reports that the “Axios” portal provided this information, citing US officials.

“Iran has submitted a revised proposal to reach an agreement on ending the war, but the White House believes it does not contain significant improvements and is insufficient for an agreement,” the report states.

US President Donald Trump wants to conclude an agreement to end the war against Iran, but is inclined to resume attacks because Tehran has rejected most of his demands and refused to make significant concessions on its nuclear program. Sources note that the American leader will hold a consultation on security issues tomorrow to discuss military operation options.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has noted that the country does not intend to back down from its demands for resolving the conflict. It was previously reported that Pakistan had delivered a revised Iranian proposal regarding the cessation of military operations to US representatives. The new document includes 14 provisions emphasizing a ceasefire and confidence-building measures.
