Anar Guliyev: Restoration works in Karabakh arouse great interest for many international organizations

The restoration works carried out by Azerbaijan in the liberated territories and the Great Return arouse great interest for many international organizations and partners.

elchi reports that this was stated by Anar Guliyev, Chairman of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture and National Coordinator of WUF13, during his speech at the official opening press conference held within the framework of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku.

He noted that in a short period of time, Azerbaijan has gone through many difficult processes and has done so successfully: “Starting from the problem of landmines, complex planning works were carried out simultaneously in vast areas, and work was implemented in parallel for 12 cities and hundreds of villages. This is truly a huge volume of work. We are not only doing planning, but we are also trying to take into account all trends and recommendations. We are not just building houses and returning people to those buildings. We are forming a new quality of life in those territories. In addition, a very unique management model, institutional approach, and institutional reforms have been applied in Azerbaijan. These were implemented by the President. As a result, today about 90 thousand people are already living, working, and studying at universities in Karabakh and East Zangezur.”
