Heydar Aliyev International Airport will operate in an enhanced operational mode from May 15 to 25 in connection with the 13th session of the UN World Urban Forum (WUF13) to be held in Baku.
This was reported to “Elchi” by Heydar Aliyev International Airport.
It was noted that, taking into account the increase in international delegations and passenger flow arriving in the country within the framework of the Forum, additional coordination mechanisms for operational processes, passenger services, and security measures have been implemented at the airport. The goal is to ensure the comfortable, safe, and uninterrupted movement of participants and to maintain passenger experience at high standards.
During WUF13, Heydar Aliyev International Airport has been integrated into a special transport system to facilitate the movement of forum participants across the city. Forum participants will be able to use uninterrupted transport options between the airport, major transport interchange hubs, accommodation venues, and the event location.
In this context, WUF13 Airport Shuttle Buses have been operating since May 12 and will provide 24/7 service until May 24, ensuring that forum participants can easily reach various points in the city. On May 25, the buses will operate until 18:00.
Participants can use special routes in the following main directions:

– A6 | Sea Breeze
At the same time, the “Airport Express” (H1 line), which ensures convenient travel for passengers, continues to operate 24/7 as usual from 28 May and Koroglu metro stations towards Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 of Heydar Aliyev International Airport.
“Considering the increased passenger flow, passengers are advised to arrive at the airport at least 2–3 hours before their flight time. To ensure a more comfortable and efficient travel process, it is recommended to use online check-in in advance.
