Baku Metro to operate in enhanced mode during WUF13

In connection with the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) to be held in Baku on May 17-22, an enhanced work mode will be applied at “Baku Metro” CJSC, one of the AZCON Holding companies.

This was reported to elchi by “Baku Metro” CJSC.

In accordance with the cultural and mass events to be held in the capital and the operational plan, changes will be made to the train schedule to ensure safe and uninterrupted management of passenger flow.

Thus, although the first day of the event, May 17, falls on a non-working day, train operations will be provided according to the Saturday schedule.

On that day, the interval between “28 May–Ahmedli” and in the opposite direction will be 2 minutes and 30 seconds.

On the other days of the session, trains will operate according to the traditional working day schedule, in the most frequent movement mode technically possible. The interval in the “28 May–Ahmedli” section will be 1 minute and 45 seconds.

There will be no changes to the schedule on the Purple line, as well as on the “Ahmedli–Hazi Aslanov” and “Jafar Jabbarli–Khatai” shuttle sections.

In addition, reserve trains will be kept ready for the operational regulation of passenger density.

It should be noted that volunteers will also be active in the Baku Metro during the WUF13 days. A total of 56 volunteers will work in shifts (07:00-15:00 and 15:00-22:00) at 9 stations to provide support to passengers and event participants.
