The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has allocated a total grant of 259.4 thousand US dollars for a regional technical assistance project titled “Trade Support and Inclusive Green Growth 2026–2028,” in which Azerbaijan also participates.
“Elchi” reports that this was stated by the ADB.
According to the information, 112.5 thousand US dollars of the project’s funding is provided by the ADB’s Technical Assistance Special Fund, and 146.9 thousand US dollars is provided by the Australian government.
The project is aimed at improving trade policy, developing digital trade, promoting green economic growth, and strengthening regional integration in countries of the Asia and Pacific region, including Azerbaijan.
Within the framework of the technical assistance, an analytical report will be prepared, regional seminars will be held, and measures will be implemented to strengthen the institutional capacity of the government agencies of the participating countries.
ADB noted that the initiative will serve to strengthen the integration of developing member countries into global and regional value chains, reduce trade costs, and support inclusive economic growth.
It should be noted that along with Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and other ADB member countries are participating in the project.
