The Cabinet of Ministers has adopted a decision regarding the circulation of rough diamonds.
elchi reports that Prime Minister Ali Asadov has signed the decision.
According to the decision, rules for state control over the import, export, use, circulation, accounting, storage, and tracking of rough diamonds have been approved.
At the same time, the form and issuance procedures for the certificate in accordance with the requirements of the “Kimberley Process Certification Scheme” for the export of rough diamonds have been established.
The document was prepared for the purpose of implementing amendments made to the Customs Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Code of Administrative Offenses, and the Law “On Precious Metals and Precious Stones”.
The decision states that the document will enter into force from the day the Republic of Azerbaijan joins the “Kimberley Process Certification Scheme”.
