“22 houses built over a water collector in the Khatai district of Baku have been identified.”
elchi reports citing “Report” that Khatai district prosecutor Sardar Imanov stated this.
According to him, the investigation revealed that those houses were built at the time with the consent of the water department:
“However, a main water line passes through the area where those houses were built. For this reason, the demolition of the 22 houses in the NZS settlement and the provision of compensation will be ensured. Currently, work is underway to relocate the houses with the consent of the residents. A modern collector is being laid in the Keshla and NZS settlements so that there will be no problems in the future. Some have illegally seized land there to build houses and have been living there for years. We are also not in favor of demolishing houses built 20 years ago. Therefore, the legalization of those houses is being carried out in stages.”
