Recently, it has been observed that some websites advertised on social media with content such as “payment of fines,” “discount on fines,” “closing of debts,” and similar themes are being used for phishing purposes.
“Elchi” reports, citing the Electronic Security Service, that during monitoring, it was determined that various fake internet resources are attempting to seize users’ bank card details and other personal information by imitating official government platforms.
The Electronic Security Service advises citizens not to trust suspicious advertisements circulating on social media, not to perform payment transactions through unknown links, not to share card details, CVV/CVC, and confirmation codes with third parties, to carry out payments only through official and government information systems, and to carefully check the domain addresses of the websites they visit.
Citizens are advised to inform the relevant authorities if they encounter cases of cyber fraud.
