The Media Development Agency is announcing a competition for journalists.
This was reported to elchi by the agency.
It is stated that applications for participation in the competition and the attached documents are submitted to the Media Development Agency in electronic form via the mib.media.gov.az portal.
The main condition of the competition is to submit material published or broadcast within the last 3 months prior to the date the competition is announced.
Materials submitted to the competition:
The journalist submits any article published in print media or an online media outlet within the last 3 (three) months prior to the date the competition is announced for only one of the following categories:
– best reportage;
– best socio-political analysis;
– best socio-economic analysis;
– best interview;
– best cultural material;
– best column;
– best investigative journalism;
– best essay.
The journalist submits a report broadcast on an audiovisual media outlet within the last 3 (three) months prior to the date the competition is announced, with a duration (chronometry) of at most 5 (five) minutes, for only one of the following categories:
– best socio-political reportage;
– best socio-economic reportage;
– best thematic (sports, culture, etc.) reportage.
The evaluation of the materials is carried out by 3 (three) independent experts engaged by the agency.
At the end of the competition, 5 (five) journalists for each category intended for articles, and 5 (five) journalists and 5 (five) operators for each category intended for reports are declared winners and awarded.
Applications for the competition will be accepted until 18:00 on May 20, 2026.
