On May 12, the next round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and Greece was held in Athens.

The Azerbaijani delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Fariz Rzayev, and the Greek delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Alexandra Papadopoulou.
During the meeting, the current state of political dialogue between Azerbaijan and Greece was reviewed in detail, and the importance of regular mutual visits at various levels was noted.
During the consultations, prospects for the development of relations in trade-economic, humanitarian, scientific, and educational fields, including strategic energy and transport projects implemented with the participation and initiative of Azerbaijan, were discussed, and satisfaction was expressed regarding the continuation of contacts and cooperation within international organizations.
During the meeting, the other side was provided with detailed information about the current situation in the region, the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and the large-scale restoration, reconstruction, and demining works carried out in our liberated territories, and an exchange of views took place on other regional and international topics of mutual interest.
