Azerbaijan and Pakistan discussed issues related to the global agenda

A telephone conversation took place between the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif, during which global agenda issues and the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) to be held in Baku were discussed.

“Elchi” reports that Shehbaz Sharif wrote about this on his “X” social network account.

“I was pleased to speak with my dear brother President Ilham Aliyev this evening. During a sincere exchange of views, we reaffirmed the deep brotherly relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan, as well as our shared commitment to further strengthening ties and cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, and energy,” he stated.

Shehbaz Sharif also wished Azerbaijan success for the WUF13 to be held in Baku and emphasized that the event will make a significant contribution to the global urban development agenda under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev. He noted that Pakistan will be represented at the forum at a high level.

“We also exchanged views on regional developments, especially the ongoing efforts to establish peace in the Middle East. I highly appreciate President Aliyev’s kind words regarding Pakistan’s sincere efforts to promote peace, dialogue, and diplomacy in the region,” S. Sharif added.
