Geniuses are the chosen figures of humanity, those who have come closest to perfection. With their intellect, inexhaustible energy, strong will, and unique way of thinking, they stand at the forefront of society, managing to find solutions even in the most difficult moments. History has proven time and again that it is precisely such personalities who create turning points in the fate of nations, giving new direction to situations that seem hopeless. If these geniuses also take upon themselves the mission of salvation, their activities transcend the framework of ordinary leadership and rise to the pinnacle of sanctity; they become sacred in the true sense of the word. Such personalities are etched into the memory of the entire nation and become an example for future generations. Heydar Aliyev, an outstanding statesman who played a crucial role in the fate of the Azerbaijani people, is one of the rare personalities who attained such sanctity. His multifaceted activities, the determination he demonstrated during difficult and complex periods, and his far-sighted policy are clear proof of these ideas.
By building a state from nothing, Heydar Aliyev defeated not only Azerbaijan’s internal and external enemies but also time itself. Because in those unsuccessful years, time was also against Azerbaijan. As a result of a misguided foreign policy, the country had become isolated. Azerbaijan had turned into a testing ground for the destructive activities of visible and invisible foreign forces. Our country was not independent; it only appeared independent on the world’s political map. Anarchy, the failure of laws, and social discontent had led to civil disobedience. Armed military units remained uncontrolled, and in an Azerbaijan struggling within the flames of separatism, civil war was inevitable. Our notorious neighbors took advantage of this situation to occupy our lands. It seemed impossible to protect the country. Heydar Aliyev accepted power in Azerbaijan in this situation at the request of the people and taught a lesson in state governance to the members of the government at that time!
Heydar Aliyev first achieved the unity of the people, mobilizing the fragmented society around a single idea and leading them as a unifying and salvational leader. By achieving the protection of our national interests as the main line of his activity, he defined clear and strategic national goals before the people. Later, he began the process of state-building with decisive steps in an Azerbaijan that remained in ruins, with a collapsed economy and the dark shadow of political instability and threats looming over it. Thus, this brilliant Azerbaijani managed to replace chaos with order and turn despair into faith. It was precisely thanks to this far-sighted policy and unwavering will that Azerbaijan did not collapse; it was saved!
He astonished world leaders by leading our country out of a critical crisis situation.
Despite all the obstruction attempts by destructive anti-Azerbaijani forces, the Great Leader, who fully ensured the country’s political independence, attracted the world to Azerbaijan at the end of the last century and signed a major economic event. By recognizing the country as a reliable partner in the international arena, Heydar Aliyev demonstrated to the world that Azerbaijan is a stable and promising energy space. The “Contract of the Century” signed in 1994 also became a strategic document that determined Azerbaijan’s future path of development. With this contract, a large international consortium was involved in the development of Caspian oil reserves, and a large flow of foreign investment was ensured into the country. This is how Heydar Aliyev changed Azerbaijan in a short time. This change also encompassed the country’s international prestige and geopolitical position. In a short time, Azerbaijan became one of the energy centers of the region, a solid foundation for economic revival was laid, the country’s integration into the world economic system accelerated, and the main pillars of development were built. By realizing the “Contract of the Century,” the Great Leader, who was etched into history as the leader of the last century, determined Azerbaijan’s future goals with great foresight and unparalleled genius. This was a brilliant embodiment of the power of his bright intellect, the strength of his political will, and his endless loyalty to national interests.
Thus, Heydar Aliyev stood before the people as a symbol of truth against a government built on lies and empty promises. The deceived people did not remain silent; they opened a front against lies and turned to the truth. With the voice of justice, truth prevailed! With this victory, the people took ownership of their destiny, the pillars of the state rose again, and this historical success became a solid foundation for the future of Azerbaijan. Time and space proved that Heydar Aliyev is the truth of the people! This truth is the history of our independence and statehood. The name of this glorious history is Heydar Aliyev. If our people did not have a genius leader like Heydar Aliyev, our statehood and national existence would have remained under serious threat. That is precisely why the Great Leader is the most beloved son of our people. We do not remember him only on May 10, when we commemorate him with love, or on December 12, which is a day of mourning for our people; we always keep his dear memory in our hearts with great respect. This is the right of our savior leader over us, like the right of the Motherland!
