Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov has stated that Poland’s plans to implement militarization will require significant costs from the country’s citizens.
elchi reports that Peskov noted that the strengthening of military programs creates a significant financial burden.
“The country’s population will have to pay out of pocket, because all this militarization will be carried out at their expense,” he said at a briefing.
Previously, Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz had announced that the country plans to create the strongest and largest army in Europe by 2030. According to Kosiniak-Kamysz, Poland’s strategic goal is to increase its armed forces to 500,000 personnel.
