Oil prices on the world market have fallen by nearly 2 dollars.
elchi reports that June futures for WTI crude oil on the NYMEX exchange decreased by 1.85% or 1.89 dollars, amounting to 100.38 US dollars per barrel.
On London’s ICE exchange, July futures for Brent crude oil fell by 1.68% or 1.85 dollars, reaching 108.02 US dollars per barrel.
The decline in oil prices is attributed to investors’ expectations that tensions in the Middle East will not escalate further and to profit-taking in the market.
