France’s “Charles de Gaulle” aircraft carrier is moving towards the southern part of the Red Sea.

“The aircraft carrier ‘Charles de Gaulle’ and its escort ships passed through the Suez Canal on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, and are heading towards the south of the Red Sea.”
As noted by the “Le Figaro” newspaper, the deployment of the aircraft carrier takes place against the backdrop of planning for an international mission intended to ensure the security of the Strait of Hormuz when conditions permit.
