During her visit to Ankara, European Union (EU) Commissioner for Democracy and Demography Dubravka Šuica held talks with Turkish ministers to discuss migration, security, and the expansion of regional cooperation.
“Elchi” reports that in a press statement, the European Commissioner provided information about her discussions with Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, and Deputy Minister of Interior Mustafa Çiftçi.
The discussions focused on “matters of common interest,” including migration and security, as well as potential trilateral cooperation within the framework of the Mediterranean Pact in the fields of energy, transport connectivity, and investments.
The parties paid special attention to the situation in the region, including support for Gaza, its recovery and reconstruction, as well as Syria’s transition process and socio-economic recovery.
