According to the new amendment made to the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Education” today, the tuition fees of a number of individuals will also be covered by the state.
“Elchi” reports that the Ministry of Science and Education has released information regarding this matter.
It was stated that the children of deminers who died as a result of an accident caused by the detonation of explosive ordnance while carrying out demining activities, or who lost their lives due to injuries sustained during such activities, while studying at state, municipal, and private higher, secondary specialized, and vocational education institutions of the Republic of Azerbaijan on a paid basis (excluding additional education), will have their tuition fees covered by the state budget.
“Furthermore, the privilege established by the new Law also applies to the children (up to the age of 23) of deminers who died or lost their lives due to injuries sustained as a result of an accident caused by the detonation of explosive ordnance while carrying out demining activities before the date this Law enters into force, and it will be applied starting from September 15, 2026.
