The Media Development Agency has announced a competition to support online media entities.
According to the news provided to “Elchi” by MEDIA, online media entities that publish socio-political and sports content and are included in the Media Registry can participate in the competition.
To participate in the competition, the application and attached documents must be submitted electronically to the Media Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan via the mib.media.gov.az portal.
For media entities to participate in the competition, they must have a staff of at least four people, including one responsible editor and three journalists.
At the end of the competition, a contract is signed between the Agency and the winning online media entities for the provision of financial assistance in the amount of 5,000 (five thousand) manats per month to each entity, which remains in effect for 6 (six) months. During this period, the minimum salary for each of the four relevant employees must be 800 (eight hundred) manats.
It is noted that applications for the competition can be submitted until 18:00 on May 12, 2026.
