On April 30, the WUF13 Festival was held in Guba city to inform the public about the Thirteenth Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13).
This was reported to “Elchi” by the WUF13 Azerbaijan Operations Company.
In the first half of the day, an information session regarding the WUF13 event was organized at the Guba branch of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University (ASPU). The session was attended by university faculty and students, pupils from various schools and lyceums located in Guba, as well as teaching staff visiting ASPU from Uzbekistan.
At the event, Anar Mammadov, Head of the Socio-political and Humanitarian Affairs Sector of the Guba District Executive Authority, Yusif Aliyev, Director of the Guba branch of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, and Emin Huseynzada, Communications Manager of the WUF13 Azerbaijan Operations Company, delivered speeches providing detailed information about the WUF13 event. The speeches highlighted the importance of WUF13 for our country and the main topics to be discussed within the framework of the event.
Emin Huseynzada emphasized that the Thirteenth Session of the World Urban Forum, which will be held in Baku from May 17 to 22, 2026, is open to everyone. He invited the people gathered at the festival to register for WUF13 and participate actively in the event.
The WUF13 Festival, which consisted of two parts, continued at 18:00 with a public program held in the open air.
Within the framework of the program, the general public was provided with detailed information through interactive activities, educational games, presentations, and public discussions on topics such as sustainable urban development, inclusive urban environment, innovative urban solutions, and cities of the future, as well as the main themes and ideas of the WUF13 event.
In total, nearly 6,000 participants joined the public program of the event.
