Between April 23-30, with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and organized by the Azerbaijan Taekwondo Federation, the national championship for juniors in taekwondo was held at the sports base of the MES Sports-Health Club.
According to the information provided to elchi by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, 554 athletes representing 70 clubs and sports societies from the capital and various regions competed in the three-day event.
Members of the MES junior taekwondo team, consisting of girls and boys, achieved high results under the leadership of coach and Sports-Health Club employee, ensign Xəyalə Ağayeva. Specifically, Ayan Quliyeva won a silver medal in the 47 kg weight category among girls, Dəniz Xancanlı won a bronze medal in the 41 kg category, and Mirmansur Muxtarlı won a bronze medal in the +65 kg category among boys.
The winners were awarded diplomas and medals established by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
