It is assumed that the name of US President Donald Trump is on the list of candidates for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize.
elchi reports that Kristian Berg Harpviken, secretary of the Norwegian Nobel Committee, told Reuters about this.
According to him, a total of 287 candidates have been included in the list, 208 of whom are individuals and 79 are organizations.
He noted that there are many new names on the list this year compared to last year.
“The peace prize becomes even more important in a period like the current one. Very significant work is being done today,” he said, referring to peace efforts against the backdrop of conflicts in Europe and the Middle East.
