“Sabah” has secured its championship in the Misli Premier League.
According to “Elchi”, this was realized after “Neftchi” defeated “Qarabag” in a match postponed from the XXI round.
The match held at “Palms Sports Arena” ended with a victory for the “black and whites” – 2:1.
For the hosts, Emil Safarov scored in the 55th minute, and Bassala Sambu scored in the 90+2nd minute. In the 85th minute, the team’s defender Elvin Badalov scored an own goal.
“Neftchi”, having increased its points to 47, has moved up to fourth place.
It has been confirmed that “Qarabag”, which is in second place with 59 points after 29 games, will not be able to catch up with the leader “Sabah”, which has 72 points.
Thus, “Sabah” has become the champion of Azerbaijan for the first time in its history.
