Online registration service for meetings with convicts has been launched

The Ministry of Justice has launched the “Online registration for meetings with convicts” service to organize meetings with convicts more efficiently.

This was reported to elchi by the ministry.

According to the information, the new service allows visitors to apply for meetings with convicts online, select the time and type of the meeting, pre-register the items intended to be brought during the visit, and track the status of the application in real-time.

The main purpose of the service is to digitize the registration process for meetings with convicts, increase citizen satisfaction, and minimize paperwork in penitentiary institutions.

“Online registration for meetings with convicts” service is available in the “Electronic services” section on the official website of the Ministry of Justice. Visitors can access the service and apply by filling in the required information.

First, identification is carried out using “myGov ID” or the serial number of the identity card. Then, an online form for the meeting (type of meeting, institution, date, participants, etc.) is filled out, information about the items to be brought is added, and the application is sent to the relevant penitentiary institution of the Ministry of Justice. The application is reviewed by the institution, and upon approval, an SMS notification is sent to the citizen. Meetings are held only at the pre-determined date and time.

Currently, the electronic service has been launched on a pilot basis at Penitentiary Institution No. 4. The service will be implemented in all penitentiary institutions of the Ministry of Justice in stages.

It should be noted that the new electronic service moves the interaction between citizens and penitentiary institutions into a digital environment and ensures that meeting applications are managed in a transparent, fast, and traceable manner.
