A fire has broken out on board the American destroyer “USS Higgins” (DDG-76) within the area of responsibility of the US Indo-Pacific Command.
“Elchi” reports that this was announced by the “CBS News” television channel, citing sources.
There have been no reports of casualties. The causes of the fire and the extent of the damage have not yet been disclosed.
According to the “MarineTraffic” service, the destroyer was in the port of Singapore in February.
“USS Higgins” is one of the key ships of the US Navy ensuring its presence in the Asia-Pacific region.
