The US has prepared a plan for a wave of short and powerful strikes that could be launched against Iran to overcome the deadlock in the negotiation process.
“Elchi” reports that the “Axios” portal has released this information citing sources.
It is noted that Washington has effectively rejected the three-stage plan proposed by Iran, according to which it was ready to negotiate with the US. “Trump rejects Iran’s proposal to open the Strait of Hormuz, lift the blockade, and postpone negotiations on the nuclear program,” the article stated.
According to sources, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) has prepared a plan for a wave of short and powerful strikes against Iran, including civilian infrastructure facilities. After the strikes, the US intends to pressure the Iranian leadership to return to the negotiating table and demonstrate more flexibility.
According to the portal, Trump is considering a naval blockade as the primary means of pressure on Tehran at the current stage, while not ruling out the possibility of military operations.
