The Vessel Traffic Management Center of the State Maritime and Port Agency (SMPA) has issued a warning to ships regarding windy weather conditions.
According to the information provided to elchi by the SMPA, based on the warning, the north-west and north wind observed in the Caspian Sea basin from the evening of April 27 will continue until April 29.
“During those days, the north-west and north wind is expected to strengthen to 18-23 m/s, occasionally 25-28 m/s, and up to 30 m/s in the open sea,” the statement notes.
According to the information, the wave height is forecasted to reach 3.5-4.5 m.
