The State Examination Center has made changes to the foreign language exam model at the complete secondary education level (11-year), and the new model will be applied starting from 2027.
elchi reports that this was stated by Könül Hacıyeva, Head of the State Language and Foreign Languages Department of the State Examination Center (SEC), at the event titled “Assessment in foreign language subjects at the complete secondary education level: new approaches and perspectives.”
She stated that starting next year, students will also write an essay in the foreign language subject during the graduation exam: “According to the innovation, the exam will consist of 26 tasks. Of these tasks, 25 are closed-ended, and 1 is a writing assignment. 4 closed-ended test tasks will be presented for the listening comprehension section. Reading skills will be tested with a total of 8 test tasks consisting of 2 parts. As for grammar, students will be given 13 test tasks. Writing skills will be assessed separately through 1 task.”
