The US Department of the Treasury has added 20 companies and 19 ships suspected of having ties to Iran to its sanctions list.
elchi reports that the Office of Foreign Assets Control under the ministry has released information regarding this.
The updated list includes legal entities registered in a number of countries and jurisdictions, including the British Virgin Islands, Vietnam, Hong Kong, the Cayman Islands, China, Liberia, the Marshall Islands, the UAE, and Panama.
Earlier this week, the office imposed sanctions on eight Iranian citizens, as well as four companies from the Islamic Republic and the UAE, and two Boeing 777-200ER aircraft belonging to the Mahan Air airline.
