Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has criticized the possible invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the G20 summit to be held in Miami.
“Elchi” reports that this was stated by “Evropeyskaya pravda”.
Speaking to journalists before the informal meeting of EU leaders in Cyprus, Meloni stated that now is not the time to take a step towards the Russian leader, but rather to demand concessions from him.
She also noted that the US has already taken certain steps regarding Russia in recent months, but according to her, there has been no reciprocal response from Moscow.
“Now is not the time to take a step, but to demand that Putin take a step,” the Italian Prime Minister declared.
