Employees of the Absheron District Police Department, together with the territorial Police Stations, have conducted further operational and preventive measures against offenses.
According to the information provided to “Elchi” by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 13 cases related to the illegal drug trade were uncovered during the measures.
17 people suspected of committing various crimes and wanted for other reasons were detained, and 19 crimes were solved “in hot pursuit”.
56 cases related to illegal street trading, vagrancy, and begging, as well as 58 cases related to petty hooliganism and petty theft, were uncovered.
Individuals who did not comply with the rules for the use of tobacco products and who threw household waste outside of bins were also identified, and administrative protocols were drawn up against them.
Furthermore, through preventive measures, the voluntary surrender of firearms and hunting rifles held by citizens to the police was ensured.
During the measures taken by the employees of the Absheron District Police Department’s State Traffic Police, administrative penalties were imposed on a total of 6 drivers who were driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or who had made unauthorized modifications to the construction of their vehicles.
Administrative measures were taken against 8 “moto-hooligans” who disturbed the peace of Absheron district residents during the night hours by creating high noise levels.
Police continue to carry out preventive measures in the mentioned directions in the Absheron district.
