The rise in the water level of the Kura River has caused a section of the protective dam of the Gargar River in the Agjabadi district to breach.
“Elchi” reports that this has resulted in water leakage from the dam.
According to information provided to APA by Elman Nuriyev, head of the Kura-Araz River Dam Operation Department, the rise in the water level in the Kura has diverted the flow towards the Gargar River. As a result, a leak occurred in the protective dam approximately 700 meters upstream, leading to a breach.
It was stated that the flowing water currently poses no threat to the population, and measures are being taken to prevent the flow between the Kura and Gargar rivers.
