A fire has broken out in the dormitory of the Republican Special Boarding School No. 3 for children with limited health capacities, located on Gara Garayev Avenue, Nizami district, Baku.
This was reported to elchi by the Press Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES).
It was noted that the forces of the State Fire Protection Service and the Special Risky Rescue Service of the MES were involved in the area.
Thanks to the prompt intervention of the MES forces, the fire that occurred in the corridor of the first floor of the three-story dormitory building was extinguished in a short time, preventing it from spreading, including to the rest of the building.
“As a result of the fire, clothing items stored in the corridor burned over an area of 5 sq.m., 1 plastic window frame and a cabinet were burned, and 1 cabinet and the stairwell were deformed over an area of 5 sq.m.
The dormitory building was protected from the fire.
There were no casualties,” the statement emphasized.
