Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Guvanch Agajanov has received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Turkmenistan Gismat Gozalov.
This was reported to “Elchi” by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Turkmenistan.
It was noted that during the meeting, Ambassador Gismat Gozalov congratulated Guvanch Agajanov on his new appointment.
The meeting emphasized the important role of high-level mutual visits and contacts between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan in the development of bilateral relations.
The parties discussed the current situation and development prospects of economic and energy cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the oil and gas sectors. The importance of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission in strengthening bilateral relations and further developing cooperation in the energy sector was highlighted.
At the same time, taking into account the rich energy potential and resources possessed by both countries, attention was drawn to the favorable opportunities for developing partnerships in this area.
The Ambassador also conveyed his congratulations on the occasion of Turkmenistan, together with China, launching the development of the fourth phase of the Galkynysh gas field. In this regard, it was noted that a delegation led by SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf is visiting Turkmenistan and participating in the mentioned events.
The meeting once again emphasized the importance of further expanding the strategic partnership and fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan, especially effective and practical cooperation in the energy sector.
