Shortcomings detected in the informatization of the education system

The Chamber of Accounts has detected shortcomings in the informatization of the education system.

“Elchi” reports that this is stated in the Chamber’s “State Audit” bulletin.

According to the document, the audit was conducted in accordance with the organization’s 2025 Work Plan and covered the period from January 1, 2021, to January 1, 2025. The Department for Informatization of the Education System was identified as the audit object.

The report notes that although there is a separate specialized agency for material and technical supply under the ministry, the department purchased computers, printers, and other equipment worth 8 million 491 thousand manats during the audit period.

During the audit, analyses were conducted on 30 active projects in the education sector. As a result, a number of shortcomings related to information security, documentation, management, and control mechanisms were identified in these projects.

Furthermore, it was reported that some information systems did not fully comply with the requirements of the “Unified Login System” for user identification, and that inter-system integration and data exchange were not ensured at a sufficient level.

The Chamber of Accounts emphasized that the mentioned shortcomings negatively affect the efficiency of information systems, the effectiveness of digital governance, and the results of the use of state funds.
