The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan continues its activities in the direction of fulfilling its duties, including the protection of the population and territories from natural and man-made emergencies.

It was stated that based on calls received by the “112” hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the relevant agencies of the Ministry carried out emergency rescue operations during the past week regarding 172 fire incidents, 36 cases of being in a helpless situation, and 4 road traffic accidents.
As a result of the urgent and immediate measures taken, the operational extinguishing of fires and the saving of human lives were ensured.
In total, during the past week, the forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations rescued 49 people, including 8 minors, evacuated 30 people, including 3 minors, and handed over the bodies of 9 people.
