Macron has arrived in Poland

French President Emmanuel Macron has visited the Polish city of Gdansk as part of an intergovernmental summit and met with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

“Elchi” reports that “RMF24” has provided information on this matter.

The visit is dedicated to the Polish-French Friendship Day and takes place within the framework of the first summit following the agreement on enhanced cooperation signed between the two countries in Nancy, France, in May 2025.

The document provides for the expansion of interaction in the fields of security, combating hybrid threats, the defense industry, economy, agriculture, and science.

The visit program includes participation in a ceremony at the French Military Cemetery in Gdansk, where soldiers of Napoleon’s army are buried, as well as meetings of the leaders in both narrow and extended formats.

Tusk and Macron plan to lay wreaths at the monument erected in memory of the shipyard workers who died in 1970 and visit the European Solidarity Center. The main discussions of the summit are focused on bilateral relations, European security, and transatlantic cooperation.
