Fuad Najafli questioned at the Prosecutor General’s Office

Fuad Najafli, the former Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Azerbaijan in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, has given a statement within the framework of the investigation conducted by the Prosecutor General’s Office.

Heydar Oghuz informed “Elchi” about this.

He stated that the reason for F. Najafli being involved in the investigation is related to the sale of 10 million tons of grain reserves and the embezzlement of the proceeds:

“I should note that there are also allegations regarding the deputy plenipotentiary representative, Samir Seyidahmadli, and according to the information I have, he has also been summoned to Baku in connection with the arbitrariness taking place in Nakhchivan.

Also, during the times when the embezzlements occurred, Jeyhun Jalilov was the Prime Minister.

However, I also want to emphasize that this is not the only incident related to the former special representative.”

Let us recall that previously, a 4-month pre-trial detention measure was chosen for Shakir Tarverdiyev, the chairman of Nakhchivan Grain Products LLC.

Fuad Najafli was dismissed from his post on November 12 last year.
