The Ministry of Defense announces the acceptance of documents for active military service beyond the term for the Air Defense specialty.

Document submission will be carried out electronically until May 15 (including holidays and non-working days), as well as at the Military Institute named after Heydar Aliyev of the National Defense University (Address: Baku city, Khatai district, Polad Hashimov street 9a) and the Training and Education Center of the Combined Arms Army (Address: Nakhchivan city, “Nakhchivan-1” military town) from 09:00 to 17:00 (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays). It is considered sufficient for candidates to submit their documents through any of the methods mentioned above.
Male military personnel under 35 years of age who have at least general secondary education and have completed their active military service (excluding those with officer, warrant officer, or midshipman ranks), as well as male military personnel under 40 years of age who have served as active military personnel beyond the term in the Armed Forces (discharged to the reserve based on clause “a” (due to completion of service term) or clause “q” (due to staff reduction) of Article 156 of the “Regulation on Military Service”) are accepted into the “Training course for military personnel serving beyond the term”.
Candidates wishing to apply electronically can visit the “Admission to educational institutions” section of the mmu.edu.az website, go to the “Sergeant Training (MAHHXHQ)” part, and familiarize themselves with the relevant documents and apply through the electronic document submission portal.
Candidates who have applied for the course are sent by the admission commission to the relevant medical institutions of the Ministry of Defense to determine their fitness for military service. Persons deemed fit for military service based on the decision of the Military Medical Commission are admitted to the competition stage.
Candidates are admitted to the course at the competition stage by taking into account their individual-psychological and physical training, general knowledge level, military registration and civilian specialty (if any), and professional competence, creating an opportunity for specialty selection.

• questionnaire form;
• biography (in 1 copy);
• copy of education document (in 1 copy);
• copy of birth certificate (in 1 copy);
• certificate of residence and family composition (in 1 copy);
• copies of supporting documents if you have additional profession or specialty (diploma, certificate, etc.);
• copy of identity card or extract from the new generation identity card (in 1 copy);
• copy of driver’s license (if any, in 1 copy);
• copy of marriage certificate (if married, in 1 copy);
• copies of identity cards of spouse and children (in 1 copy);
• color photograph (without headgear, front view, 6 pieces 3×4 cm, 2 pieces 4.5×6 cm and 3 pieces 9×12 cm);
• copy of all pages of military ID (notarized, in 1 copy);
• certificates from psychoneurological, narcological, tuberculosis, and dermatovenerological dispensaries (cabinets) regarding whether they are registered or not.

During the course:

• awarding the rank of junior sergeant, sergeant, sergeant major;
• provision of monetary compensation for official housing or rental of temporary living space;
• one-time financial aid given during the year, additional financial support when going on next leave, one-time cash bonus in the amount of double the basic position and rank salary, taking into account impeccable military service;
• preferential medical support for family members;

• provision of housing at the expense of state funds after 20 calendar years or more of impeccable service in the Azerbaijan Army;
