Pashinyan: TRIPP project moves to implementation phase

“If the historic event regarding the opening of the Azerbaijani railway to Armenia had not taken place, the crisis around the Strait of Hormuz would have had a much stronger impact on Armenia’s citizens and economy in terms of fuel prices, inflation, and supply.”

“Elchi” reports that this was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during his speech in parliament.

The Armenian leader noted that the railway connection and trade relations opened through the territory of Azerbaijan as a result of the established peace have had a positive impact on the country’s prosperity.

At the same time, Pashinyan noted that despite the complex international situation, the governments of the USA, Armenia, and Azerbaijan consider the restoration of regional communications and the implementation of the TRIPP project as a priority task.
