Ukraine has received the final tranche of 752 million pounds sterling (approximately 1 billion US dollars – Ed.) from Great Britain within the framework of the G7’s “Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration for Ukraine” (ERA) initiative.
“Elchi” reports, citing Ukrainian media, that this is stated in the information from the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
“The provided funding will be directed towards meeting the priority needs of the security and defense sector,” emphasized the head of the institution, Serhiy Marchenko.
It should be recalled that on March 1, 2025, Marchenko and British Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves signed an agreement on providing 2.26 billion pounds sterling (approximately 3 billion US dollars – Ed.) to Ukraine for defense needs.
Ukraine received the first two tranches with a total volume of 1.5 billion pounds in March and April 2025. The funds are part of the G7 countries’ ERA mechanism, which has a total volume of $50 billion. The loan is repaid from future revenues generated by frozen Russian assets. The funding is provided for a period of 30 years.
