On April 14, 2026, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, received the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Galuzin.
According to the information provided to elchi by the MFA, the political, economic-trade, and humanitarian aspects of Azerbaijan-Russia relations, as well as regional and international security issues of mutual interest, were discussed during the meeting.
The importance of mutual visits and contacts was emphasized in terms of discussing issues on the cooperation agenda.
Noting that the activities of the Intergovernmental State Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation play an important role in the development of bilateral economic relations, the parties held discussions on the work carried out within this mechanism and future perspectives.
During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on other issues of mutual interest, and future prospects for cooperation were reviewed.
