The next meeting of the Board of the Justice, Law, Democracy (JDP/ƏHD) Party has been held. According to the information provided to Xalqcəbhəsi.az by the party’s press service, the Board adopted a statement after the discussions.
The statement says:
“The JDP Party, having discussed the events taking place in our country and the region, calls on the government to stop mass layoffs in state bodies, enterprises, and organizations until fundamental reforms covering all sectors of the economy are carried out, which will ensure the creation of a favorable business environment for the opening of new jobs. The government should also take into account that jobs are being closed in the private sector as well. The fact that the demographic situation has reached a dangerous level, the rapid increase in the import of food and industrial products over the last two years, the fact that oil and gas products account for 90-92% of exports, the outflow of capital due to an unfavorable business environment, and the deplorable state of utility services and intra-settlement roads in Baku should seriously concern the government, and rapid decisions must be made.
The JDP Party calls on the government to provide urgent financial assistance to people whose houses have been flooded, to stop giving areas that are submerged every time it rains heavily to construction companies, and to sign contracts with companies from developed countries, using the experience of Gulf countries, for the organization of utility services in Baku and to privatize the service sectors responsible for this area.”
