Organized by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, a training session was held at the “Nakhchivan Palace” hotel in Nakhchivan city on the topic “The state of preparedness for emergency situations in hotels and accommodation facilities with mass gatherings is kept in focus, behavior and evacuation rules during emergencies, including fire incidents.”
“Elchi” reports that the training, which involved the relevant personnel and equipment of the MES State Fire Protection and State Fire Control services, the staff of the “Nakhchivan Palace” hotel, and representatives of hotels and accommodation facilities operating in Nakhchivan city, aimed to instill knowledge of behavioral rules regarding emergency situations, including fires, in the hotel staff.
Initially, within the framework of the theoretical part of the training, MES employees provided detailed information to the hotel staff on necessary measures to ensure fire safety, behavioral rules during potential fires in hotels, and evacuation procedures, and video clips on the subject were shown.
Then, the practical part of the training began. After the “Alarm” signal was given during a simulated fire, MES firefighters arrived at the scene promptly and, together with the hotel staff, began “firefighting” measures. In accordance with the evacuation plan in the hotel where the simulated fire occurred, rescuers carried out the evacuation of victims to a safe place, and “first aid” was provided to those who suffered simulated injuries.
The training concluded successfully, and the set objectives were achieved.
It should be noted that such events are regularly organized by the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Baku and the regions.
